About Us
Minnesota Black Nurses Association (MNBNA), chartered in April 2004, is the local chapter of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA). The NBNA was chartered in 1971. Minnesota Black Nurses Association, Inc, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Mission
To support and advocate for the advancement of the nursing profession and eliminate health disparities through the delivery of culturally competent, quality healthcare
Goals
To provide much needed mentorship of high school students of color, to expand interest and entry into the nursing profession, and to be able to provide scholarships for this underrepresented group. We are targeted at changing the dynamics of how communities of color interact with the healthcare system to improve their overall health outcomes.
